What is Phone Events?

PhoneEvents is an entertainment and lifestyle communications service for use on your cell phone or wireless device. It also works great on your computer.

What are EventListings™?

EventListings™ are a real time summary of your preferred events by date, time, and location on Phone Events.

What are the “Daily View”, “Weekly View”, and “Monthly View”?

You have 3 different ways or “views” of the events on Phone Events. The Daily View shows you what events are happening today, including events in real time. The Daily View is the recommended viewing format for the best Phone Events user experience.

The Weekly View gives you a snapshot of events that are happening over the next 7 days whereas the Monthly View provides a summary of events by week over the next month.

Can I enter any city into Phone Events?

Yes, you can enter any city when you sign in to Phone Events. If, however, you don’t enter a city when you log on, Phone Events uses either your city of registration, or the last city you entered into Phone Events.

Note, however, if there are no events in the city that you entered into Phone Events, there are no events on the network for that particular day. That does not mean that the city that you’ve entered is not supported by Phone Events.

What are Channels?

Channels are your preferred event types, populated by date, time, and location. You can view any channel with the daily view (recommended), weekly view, or monthly view. Channels enable you to maximize your choice when you’re interested in a particular type of event.

Why do some events “disappear” on Phone Events?

Phone Events updates continuously, which means that you see preferred events upcoming in real time. All events which are entered directly into Phone Events using your computer or your cell phone, update dynamically by time, date, and location. Events which that are updating will show an event time stamp on the right hand side of the EventListings™. When the event time is reached, the event will “cycle off” of Phone Events.

How do I view an event?

Simply click on the EventListings™ on your cell phone (or computer) and you will be taken to the eventwindow where you can see the details of the event of interest.

What is My Network™?

My Network™ is your personal network of friends, family, and colleagues with whom you share and experience entertainment and lifestyle events. You input (or import) your personal contacts’ email, cell phone number, and IM user ID to create your personal network for cell phone use (or computer) on Phone Events.

What is Share on Network™?

Share on Network™ is functionality on Phone Events which enables you to share events, photos, and personal messages to your personal network using email, SMS, and IM from your cell phone (or computer). You access Share on Network when viewing an eventwindow on your cell phone (or computer). Then select a person or group on your network, compose a message, and share via email, SMS, or IM.

Can Phone Events share events with someone who isn’t registered?

Yes, you can share event information with any of your friends and colleagues whether or not they are registered users of Phone Events.

How do I save an event?

If you want to save an event, you simply click “Save” on your cell phone or computer, and you can choose what format (mobile, email, SMS) to save the event that you’re viewing.

How do I post an invite or event?

While using Phone Events on your cell phone (or computer), click on the invite link when viewing the EventListings™. Select public if you’re loading an event or invite to the public, or My Network if the invite or event is for your personal network only. Input invite details, including images, and hit submit and you’re done!

Why is my cell phone slow when viewing weekly or monthly views on my phone?

Most cell phones are very slow when compared with your computer, hence we recommend primarily using the daily view on your cell phone at this time.

Can I change my preference profile?

Yes, you can change your preference profile as many times as you’d like.

Does Phone Events sale my contact information?

No – your contact information is NEVER given to any 3rd parties by Phone Events, Inc.

Why does Phone Events need my preferences?

Phone Events needs your preferences in order to match events by city with your interests.

How much does it cost?

Phone Events is free for all Users.

Do I need to sign up with my carrier?

No, however Phone Events recommends that you sign up for an unlimited data services plan if you haven’t already done so.

What’s different for customers?

Unlike search which requires that you know what you’re searching for, Phone Events preferentially lists all of your entertainment and lifestyle events that are happening today by location. You review events according to channels that you set, and decide what events you’re interested in while on the go. You choose events for today, tomorrow, this week, next month, and beyond. Tickets, reservations, cool happenings, and more. Simply put, Phone Events tells you what’s happening now.

How do I get Phone Events?

Users can access and register for Phone Events at www.phoneevents.com on their computer.

How do I get Phone Events on my phone?

In order to get Phone Events on your cell phone, access the Internet on your phone and point your browser to www.phoneevents.mobi. You can also use a shortcut on your mobile phone which is www.evmo.mobi.

Will using Phone Events interrupt my phone usage?

No, your cell phone should work normally, even while using Phone Events.
